Why we built our free puppy starter pack this way
The first 24 hours in a new home are the most stressful in a puppy's life. They've left their mother, their littermates, and the only environment they've ever known. The simplest things, a familiar smell, a piece of bedding from their litter, the same food they were already eating, make an enormous difference to how quickly they settle.
We learned this the hard way over five years. New owners would call us at 2 AM panicking because their puppy wouldn't stop crying. Most of the time, the issue was that the puppy was overwhelmed by new sights and smells with nothing familiar to anchor them. The blanket and the food sample fixed it.

We assemble your starter pack on the morning of pickup with food, toy, and blanket from your puppy's environment.

You receive the full pack during our handover, along with a 10-minute walkthrough of what each item is for.

First Night Settling
The familiar blanket and toy go in the puppy's sleeping area. Most puppies settle within 1–3 nights.

No. The starter pack is completely complimentary with every Bolt's Family puppy purchase. There are no hidden fees or upsells, what you see in the price is what you pay.
Whatever food your specific puppy has been eating. We don't believe in suddenly switching food at the time of handover, it causes digestive upset. So you get a sample of the exact brand and formula your puppy has been on, and we recommend you stick with it for the first 2–3 weeks before transitioning if needed.
Yes. We use small, soft, machine-washable blankets that have been with the puppy or their littermates so they carry familiar scents. Wash it before its first deep clean to preserve the scent, it helps for the first week.
The core pack is fixed because we've optimised it over years of feedback. But if you have specific needs, a particular toy type, an extra food sample, breed-specific care notes, just mention it on WhatsApp before pickup and we'll do our best to accommodate.
